Pork Sirloin Tip Roast

March 20, 2016 Recipes  2 comments

I am not experienced at roasting meat.  My wife asked for a pork roast so I had to learn in a hurry.  This rub gives the roast a lot of flavor.  You might adjust the amount of cayenne to your taste.  It was very much to our liking, but many of our Minnesota friends might cut the amount in half.

Instructions
  1. Mix the rub ingredients together in a small bowl. Let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to meld the flavors and form a paste

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F)

  3. Rub the entire roast with the seasoning paste and place on a baking sheet

  4. Place in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees (F). This will probably take about an hour.

  5. Remove from the oven and let the roast rest for 10-15 minutes.

  6. Slice the roast into 1/8 - 3/16 inch slides across the grain.

Just made this last night. It was my first time cooking any kind of roast, but it came out perfectly! My husband, the meat expert in our family, was singing its praises!
