This is a delicious Texas style chili made rich with copious amounts of chili and spice, Lager beer and molasses. Hearty and beefy.
Texas chili typically doesn’t have beans, just meat and spices. I like to use chuck or round roast. However, if that is not available or too much work, ground beef will also work.
I like to make this in a crock pot and let it simmer for several hours. It could also be made in a Dutch oven or other pot, baked in the oven or even cooked on the stovetop.
You can add more jalapenos or leave some out. Two average sized jalapenos with the seeds and ribs removed was about the right amount of heat for me.
